The mission of the Resource Center’s Greater Flint Youth Leadership Program (GFYL) is to prepare a diverse group of high school students for constructive leadership and committed involvement in the future of their community.
Sessions Include...
• Experiential and interactive learning
• Discussions related to community issues
• Interaction with community leaders
• Development of communication and leadership skills
• Orientation to organizations in the community
• Motivation for participants to become more actively involved in community service GFYL envisions a community in which high school students have the leadership capacity to make a contribution to their world. In such a community, these students put their talents to constructive use by creating and participating in opportunities for civic engagement and philanthropy.
