Clio Area Community Action Planning Sessions
SUMMARY

Websites, fun maps, t-shirts and more.  These are only a few of the items that Clio Area (city of Clio, Vienna & Thetford Townships) residents are working on thanks to Community Challenge.

The Clio area has recently finished a Community Action Planning Process.  This is a four phased process.  The CAP process starts out with visioning and moves on to select an area of focus.  Once the participants have an area of focus they are challenged to collaborate on a project idea and begin putting the project into action.  Before the process is complete participants must have a feasible action plan in place.

The Clio area has selected a comprehensive public relations plan that highlights reasons to eat, shop, play or stay in Clio.  They are innovative and hardworking citizens who have involved several different sectors of their community to make these things happen.  Debra Force, Asst. branch Manager for National City Bank in Clio is the project Coordinator.  “I am very happy with our outcome.  Everyone is very engaged, they believe in what they are doing and I am confident they will make it happen.”, says Debra. While Faye Lature, Clio area Superintendent and Desiree Londrigan, Mott Community College NTC Director have agreed to spearhead the website efforts. Several other citizens and officials have stepped forward and are committed to seeing this project to completion.
